The go-ahead run was scored on a bases-loaded walk in the 9th. (I didn't watch the game, but I am feeling the distinct lack of a Ryan Rosenblatt recap at the moment.)
If you're hankering for more UCLA baseball talk, the guys at SBN's Purdue blog, Hammer and Rails, have a preview of the upcoming series from a Purdue perspective. Or, you can wait for Ryan's normally great coverage of all things UCLA baseball.
Mother Nature always wins. #UCLA and Washington St.'s series finale has been postponed due to rain. It will be played tomorrow at 1 pm.

Rain has forced the postponement of today's scheduled series finale. It will be played on Monday instead.
In a homage to the great Chuck Norris, the Diamondback's blog AZ Snake Pit has done the same to our Trevor Bauer. E.g. Trevor Bauer once killed two birds with one pitch. The batter still struck out looking. E.g. Trevor Bauer did not go to U.C.L.A. to study, Trevor Bauer went to UCLA so the engineering program could study him.
For those who were wondering last night's baseball game between No. 9 UCLA and No. 11 Arizona State was postponed due to rain. Both teams will continue the weekend series with a doubleheader today at 1 p.m. PST. For updates on today's game time, as it relates to overnight weather, follow the UCLA baseball program's Twitter account at @UCLABaseball. GO BRUINS.
Don't forget that tomorrow (Tuesday), UCLA will go in search of their 11th straight win when they take on USC at Dodger Stadium at 6:30 pm as part of the Dodgertown Classic.
UCLA has been ranked No. 19 in Collegiate Baseball's preseason top-40 poll. Hopefully we will see another solid season from the defending Pac-10 champions as the Bruins return a core of Beau Amaral, Trevor Brown, Jeff Gelalich, Cody Keefer and Cody Regis. We will also have Adam Plutko anchoring the pitching staff. I am sure Ryan will have more on baseball as we get closer to the season. GO BRUINS.

From the "other Pac-12 programs are doing meaningful things with their facilities so we'll do something minor" category, the grass hills above the dugouts are being replaced by 580 chairback seats. I'll have more on this soon, but a small thing that was supposed to happen three years ago and creates another problem in an offseason where the rest of the conference are doing major things is not something to celebrate.
Just heard from two different sources that Fullerton will name Rick Vanderhook their head coach tomorrow. Thanks for a great job, Hook.

Congratulations to Rick Vanderhook, who will be named the new Cal St. Fullerton head coach tomorrow. UCLA only got him because the Titans passed on him last time around and he did a great job with the Bruins, but now John Savage has a huge hole to fill on his coaching staff.
