This guy @jdior_ is really recruiting like no other this weekend.

Bryce Treggs, the #1 WR in California and a Cal commit who is rumored to be considering UCLA now with Adrian Klemm leading his recruitment, tweeted this today: "This guy @JDior_ is really recruiting like no other this weekend." @JDior_ is Justin Combs, a Bruin commit who is clearly trying to bolster that UCLA recruiting class. Keep it going, Justin.
Rick Neuheisel picked up another verbal committment from last night. The latest edition to our class is kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn from Punahou (HI). He is reportedly He is rated the No. 4 kicker in the country by Chris Sailer. In the post linked above Gold also had some video of our other commitment picked up few days ago Trinity (Texas) High safety Laiu Moeakiola. We welcome both of these gentlemen to Westwood. However, the news doesn't change the big picture which is a bleak and stale recruiting scene as our current class is mired well below top-25, ranked number 47 in the nation. Then again Neuheisel hasn't been able to do much with top ranked recruiting classes he secured in his first 3 years at UCLA. GO BRUINS. UPDATE (N): I clearly didn't have enough coffee when I wrote this in the am. Otherwise, I wouldn't have missed that Gold had mentioned Bruins also picked up Compton Dominguez OL Lacy Westbrook. As mentioned on BRO Westbrook is #13 ranked OG in the nation. This is good. Welcome Lacy. GO BRUINS.
"...a press release from Gorman's [Grimble's high school] communication's office promoting the school's signing event says Grimble will be picking between UCLA and Miami." Melsby was down. Here's a chance at payback. Come to Westwood, Jalen!
Hey folks. Just wanted to give everyone a headsup. We are going to have a very special guest in the house for this week's podcast with Ryan and 03rdn9 on Thursday at 12 pm PST. Brandon Huffman from BruinReportOnline will be dialing into the show and answering lots of questions on UCLA football and the Pac-10 in general. It's gross understatement to say that Brandon is one of the best scouts and recruiting writers in the country. More importantly, I have known him for a while. He is a nicer guy. Hope you will all join Ryan, 03rdn9 in extending a warm welcome to Brandon to this community. This should be a lot of fun. GO BRUINS.
These guys have Carroll coming to Westwood, but that's it. I for one can't wait to see what happens tomorrow
Details on Dohn's blog. Joel had nothing but nice things to say about UCLA coaches but ended up sticking with Texas Tech who has been recruiting him since he was a sophomore in high school. Good luck to Joel. Sounds like a very classy and smart kid. GO BRUINS.
Not a bad place to go recruiting. CRN and Bullough are following up Chow's earlier trip to island by visiting Te'o (and may be just checking in on Hasek). Gotta love the all out effort.GO BRUINS.
Per the LAT (linked above) "a screw will be inserted to help repair a fracture he suffered while playing for Carson High in the fall." He is expected to fully recover and be ready to go for spring ball starting on April 2. Get some rest and get healthy Morrell. GO BRUINS.
One of the silent commits is now going public as San Bernardino Cajon defensive back Marlon Pollard gave a non-binding oral commitment to UCLA. Pollard, who was a Notre Dame commitment, originally committed to UCLA in the spring.
