With the last game of the season tomorrow, the author (once again) reflects on the past season and tries to decide what it all means. For his family, it means a lot.

Reflecting on the season and how things got better, instead of getting worse. Maybe I also just like writing "harbinger of doom."

The author was really disappointed immediately after the Pac 12 Championship Game, but the ensuing week has put the game and the season in a more refined perspective.

UCLA played what seemed to be an uncharacteristically conservative game last week against Stanford; they'll have to play with more reckless abandon to reverse the outcome this week.

The Bruins knocked the Southern Cal monkey off their backs last week and fans should enjoy whatever happens the rest of the season.

Jim Mora says that tomorrow's rivalry clash is "just another game." He's wrong. But approaching the game with that attitude might prove to be the key to victory for the Bruins.

The last two games, a comeback win against Arizona State in Tempe and a blowout against a pretty good Arizona team prove the Bruins are a good team this year. Washington State is not a good team this year. So? So, the Bruins win tomorrow.

With five games remaining in the season, the Bruins final chapter on the Bruins season is far from written. At this point, the team remains a work in progress.

The author is having trouble making sense of UCLA's 5-2 start this season.

Last week's loss to Cal was frustrating on many levels. The question now is, will the Bruins learn from that game and bounce back against Utah.
