If Ms. Cook had not transferred to Nebraska after one year, she would likely be the starting setter for the team. There is an interesting story on our current setter, Lauren Van Orden, who transferred from SDSU when Ms. Cook left the program. Ms. Cook has been ticketed for speeding six times since 2007.

Seems to happen every year. They get some good wins and then end up suffering some really bad losses. When was the last time these guys have won a national title? I am guessing at a school like UCLA we get our share of talent. Yet I just don't remember the last time these guys were in a serious national title hunt. Seems like an underachieving bunch to me. If others disagree, would love to hear counterpoints. From what I see on surface I see a program that has been good enough, but not up to UCLA standards, since the mid 90s. GO BRUINS.
