Galaxy rookie midfielder Michael Stephens, from UCLA, volleys home his first MLS goal against the Columbus Crew. After beating the Crew 2-0 (insurance goal from Tristan Bowen), the Galaxy are the only undefeated team in MLS. Stephens is getting a lot of buzz and is the favorite to win Rookie of the Year.

I know this was posted on Bruins Nation in 2008, and if its possible to bring it back up, please replace this post. Watching this video gets me to really put those 4 letters in to context, and makes me well up with emotion. Though we won't be playing in the big dance this year, I have faith that our players will learn that they can achieve more than they could have ever imagined with hard work and dedication. I know we'll get through this rough patch, the important thing is keeping this Bruin family together. GO BRUINS!!
Local CBS news coverage of UCLA's upset win over Tennessee for you Bruins in exile.
Talk about withdrawls... I have been off Bruins Nation and all other sports websites for 2 weeks because of Olympic spoliers. I am so happy to be back! Congratulations to all the Bruins that participated in the Beijing games - many of whom won medals. The Olympics have been such a whirlwind and now that it's over we are just over one week away from UCLA FOOTBALL! Here is one of my favorite plays of all time. ARE YOU READY?!?! GO BRUINS!!!
There was actual drama in today's extra innings softball game between USA and Japan. USA would finally score in the top of the ninth. Natasha Watley began the inning at second due to the ISF rule for extra innings games. I've included the homerun by Crystl Bustos, which sealed the deal for USA, now headed to the Gold medal final.
