UCLA stumbled over the weekend against Cal Poly. Now it's time to find out if they can get back up.
The Bruins host UC Santa Barbara tonight at Jackie Robinson Stadium, hoping to improve their 4-3 record and get back on the winning track heading into this weekend's tough slate at the Notre Dame Classic. The Gauchos enter the weekend 3-1, but haven't been tested yet, having only played Cal St. Bakersfield and San Jose St. this season.
Grant Dyer will get the nod for the Bruins in his second collegiate start. The freshman was sensational last week, tossing five shutout innings and allowing just two hits. The Gauchos will counter with Domenic Mazza, who struck out one in one inning of relief on Sunday, his only appearance of the season thus far.
Things get underway at 6 p.m. PT and, as always, you can listen along with John Ramey and Tim Wilhelm. You can also follow along on my UCLA baseball Twitter and on Gamecast. This is your open thread so fill it with updates, thoughts and whatever else you have as UCLA tries to get back on the smiling side of the scoreboard.
