Are you ready for some football! Heck yah. Here is your thread for Pac-12 media day. Meriones has some great tweets from the Jim Mora/UCLA media blitz on Thursday. Today's event will take place at Sony in Culver City.UCLA will be represented by the Coach Mora, Line Backer Anthony Barr, and Offensive Lineman Xavier S'ua-Filo. I wonder how many schools put a member of the O Line out there to represent the offense. I think this is major cool and shows that our coaches and players hold the O Line is such high esteem.
I also think this shows that our team understands the importance of the O Line in their success (and who knows maybe Hundley wanted to give them some props...he is a smart dude after all). If it gets a bit slow, be sure to go back and read the position previews which can be found here, here, here, here, and here. You can also watch the interview with Mora and the best coach in the country here (HT Mexeastla). Mora gives a nice breakdown of the defensive issues.
Anyway, it is sad that we won't get to see Mr. Barkley today (especially with Anthony there, man that would have been fun), but we will still get to see the greatest college coach in the country. So since he works for that other "school" some of you might be tempted to use language unbefitting children and my mom. So let's try to be creative with our terms (especially those adjective and adverbs). After all we are Bruins.
The Pac-12 will be streaming media day live starting a 9am PST. You can find the media guide here. For more coverage you can go to the Pac-12 media page here. You might also want to take a look at the Pac-12 watchlist and read some Pac-12 storylines here. Here is the schedule for the day. UCLA kicks off at 12:20 pst (saving the best for last!).
So let's get this party started with a big 8 clap.
Go Bruins!
