UCLA lands the first commit of the season in WR Barry Ware from Corona Centennial.
As reported by the LA Times, wide receiver Barry Ware has committed to UCLA shortly after receiving an offer. Ware is the first recruit the join the Bruins this year, and he really helps an area of need.
Ware is big, physical receiver that will be able to play on the outside. At 6'3 205 lbs., he provides the size that is simply tough to match up against. UCLA is chasing a number of big wide receivers in this year's class, and it is wise of Ware to jump at the offer. At this point, Scout ranks him as a 3* recruit, while 247 Sports has him as a very high 4* recruit. Rivals and ESPN do not currently have him ranked.
Currently, UCLA is the only school to have offered, and no commitment is safe this early in the process, but it feels great to have broken the ice on this year's recruiting class.
