Graduated from the now-evaporated Undergraduate School of Business at UCLA in December of 1968. Received a commission in the U. S. Air Force (which, after failing a flight physical, became the U. S. Chair Force for me). Served a largely successful four-year tour at Strategic Air Command in Omaha, Nebraska guarding the rice paddies of Bellvue from NVA and VC incursion. When I left, only two Pho restaurants managed a foothold in Nebraska soil.

I also had to endure the agonies of ultimate homerism owing to the success of Bob Devaney, Johnny Rogers, and the NU Cornhuskers, their on- and off-season sports coverage obliterating any other important news like the Wickes-Rowe and Walton Gang titles, and other Bruin triumphs. (However, Karma rewarded the few of us Bruin fans at Offutt AFB in September 1972 when NU was upset at the absolute Zenith of their success by Mark Harmon & Company in the Coliseum, ending their 32-game win streak).

Since then, it has been an unending string of commercial computer programming gigs and the joys and sorrows of UCLA sports.
