OK's Rhett Bomar has been dismissed from the team according to SI.com.

Payments for work not actually done seems to be the cause. Another player was also dismissed.

Apparently he was in a bar in SF and a bar employee was breaking up an altercation between Levy and another bar patron. Levy then took his beer glass and smashed the employee in the face.

Cal has suspended him until all the facts are known.

He doesn't have JF or AA in his mock first round.

Many years ago I started work at a company and had several people that reported directly to me. I held a get acquainted meeting and let everyone know I was a Bruin fan and how the team did on Saturday would reflect my mood on Monday.

My right hand person was a woman who was a big football fan (mainly pros), but didn't know a lot about college teams. I took the opportunity to spell out the wonders of being a Bruin fan and of course the perils of being a Scumbag Trojan fan.

On Mondays Whenever I talked about the teams it was always the Bruins and the "scumbag trojans".

A couple of months after I started to work there, she went out on a Saturday night date with someone who also happened to be a diehard trojan fan. On this particular date he started to talk about USC when she just matter-of-factly blurted out "You mean the scumbag trojans". He practically fell out of the chair in horror, and wouldn't talk to her the rest of the evening. On Monday she tried to blame me for her disaster of an evening but I was laughing so hard I had to sit down before I fell down. The blame portion pretty much fell on deaf ears.

I told her a person should not get in trouble for telling the truth and she was better off not dating someone of the caliber.

By the way, he didn't call her again for 6 months.

A true story.

I have not heard one word from the big mouth now that all this Bush/Leinart/Jarrett/Sanchez crap has hit the fan. Where is he to step up to the plate and admit that things are out of control and he is the one ultimately responsible.

It would be hilarious to hear the justification from him  for all that has gone on. The Spin Control from Fig Tech could probably make for an excellent sitcom.

Just wondering.

That sure is a nice half time lead even with all our tunovers. We just need to play with the same intensity in the second half and this game is ours.

In '95 we were the #1 team in the country and had the overall #1 seed in the tournament, and still got disrespected by all.

Everytime one of the "experts" was asked to pick their upset special, they would say UCLA, and repeat it after each round. When the team would get beat by us, the team's coach would have something to complain about as to why they lost the game and didn't get beat by us.

This team is getting the same treatment and I hope the end result will be like '95.

From the Memphis players, their Coach and the clueless Media, it seems when an entire team (including bench)can't put the ball in the basket, it is not great defense causing the problem, they just didn't shoot well. What about all the shots we missed, if Memphis was asked, they would probably say it was their defense that did it. They should be as gracious in defeat as they are in victory, which based on all their classless comments probably isn't much better when they win.

We played great defense and got in their heads and it snowballed from there.

Nuff said, lets move on to LSU.
