Bruins Sneak By Drexel

New, 3 comments

UCLA, led by Arron Afflalo escaped from the Preseason NIT 3rd place game against Drexel on a last second free throw by Jordan Farmar.

Although it was tough to watch UCLA struggle against a relative unknown, there were some positives. Lorenzo Mata had a solid game, scoring 8 points with 8 rebounds with only 2 fouls. (Hollins and Fey combined for 3 rebounds and 0 points).

Luc Mbah Moute gave the Bruins a spark in Josh Shipp's absence, playing inspired defense and grabbing a critical steal in the waning minutes of the game (he finished with 4 steals for the game).
