UPDATED: MSM's Expectations for Coach Karl

UPDATED (4:07 pm EST Nestor): Eastern Sports Programming Network also has its preview out. They are teaming up with Blue Ribbon College Football Yearbook. They are expecting Coach Karl to finish second in the PAC. Here is their predicted order of finish in the PAC:

Pacific-10 Conference

1. USC
2. UCLA
3. Arizona State
4. Washington State
5. California
6. Oregon
7. Oregon State
8. Arizona
9. Washington
10. Stanford
Clearly they are shooting for more than a total of 8 win season, which we think is jusr right. If KD cannot win 9 games he needs to go.

As we posted earlier this today, CNNSI has its UCLA season preview out and the expectation for Coach Karl is minimal:
Dorrell did a good job cleaning up the program, but for all the progress made in rebuilding the infrastructure, bowl losses to Fresno State and Wyoming do not sit well. Such losses must be avoided.

This could be a make-or-break season for Dorrell. A favorable schedule includes only one difficult road game, the Dec. 3 season finale at USC. Eight wins is the expectation.
Given the easy schedule we have 8 regular season wins should be an easy goal to attain and it is consistent with our preseason expectations of a MUST WIN 9 GAMES season.

Now one would think that if Coach Karl wins 8 regular season games this upcoming season UCLA would be in good position to be in a solid bowl game against a decent opponent. As O posted below CFN has no such confidence in Karl as they are projecting us to finish fifth place Pac-10 and win another EXCITING trip to the Las Vegas Bowl!:
