Gameday News Wrap

The day has finally arrived.

Here's a game preview and small feature on Trey Brown by Lonnie White at the LAT. White also has an article on UCLA's O Line, and discusses how the unit should be a strength this year with 3 returning starters.

Kuwada at the OCR has a piece on UCLA's desire to be more explosive on offense. According to Coach Cable, yards after catch (YAC) needs to improve. To maximize UCLA's YAC, Cable is putting the pressure on Drew Olson to put the ball in the right place at the right time, a skill that he's struggled with in the past.

Jill Painter from the LADN has and article addressing UCLA's utilization of freakishly gifted TE Marcedes Lewis. Marcedes expects 50 catches this season. We expect the staff to take advantage of the ridiculous mismatches this guy creates everytime he steps foot on the field. Painter also addresses UCLA's search for respect in the college football world, and emphasizes the fact that UCLA's schedule is set up for a very successful season. 9 regular season wins is what we expect.

A blowout of SDSU tonight would be a great start.
