UCLA was full of incredible memories. And one of the most vivid memories from my freshman year was my first "Beat $C" bonfire. That year ('91) UCLA seniors were staring at 4 game winless streak coming off a heart breaking loss at the Rose Bowl the prior year against Todd Marijuanivich. I only wish I could describe the emotion we (about 3 thousand students huddled in front of Jans Steps) all felt when senior safety Matt Darby came up to podium and talked about what happened the year before. If you live on campus, around Westwood, or anywhere within 15+ miles of Westwood, then come out the bonfire tonight. Here are the details:
Beat 'SC Parade, Bonfire and RallyMore details here.

Follow the parade to Wilson Plaza
Again make sure to wear blue tonight and of course on Saturday. For reference check out paulucla's daughter leading the Rose Bowl faithful:
I hope not a single member of this community sold their tickets for this weekend's game quitting on our team.
For those of who live outside Southern California, there will be thousands watching the Bruins from coast to coast at house parties, bars, alumni get-togethers. If you are planning to put together something big or Bruin alums in your area are putting together a big event around this game share the details with us in this thread. I know of at least 3 alumni get togethers in NYC, DC, Bay Area and Portland:
- Alums in NYC will be watching at Bar XII on 206 East 34th Street btwn 2nd & 3rd Avenues. Click here to RSVP.
- Alums in Washington DC will be watching the game at the Ugly Mug - 723 8th St SE (near the Hill). If you are taking the Metro. take the Blue/Orange line to Eastern Market Metro Stop.
- Bay Area of course has a huge Bruin contingent. They have their party set up at the Sports Edition Bar & Grill, Hilton Oakland Airport. Here are the details.
Oh if you guys are at the bon fire tonight, it would be very cool if you guys can post pictures, posts describing what happened later tonight in the diaries or here in the comment thread.
