Memorial Day In Westwood

If you went to UCLA, you've probably seen it a hundred times.  Perhaps you lived nearby, or just passed by on the way to campus.  Just on the other side of Veteran Avenue, is the Los Angeles National Cemetery.

This Memorial Day, let's take a moment to reflect on this place, and what it represents.

So, along with the BBQ and the Indy 500, I am going to try to remember that Memorial Day commemorates U.S. men and women who died in military service for their country. And to bear in mind their sacrifice.

For those of you in town and interested, a Memorial Day ceremony is being held at the Los Angeles National Cemetery this morning, May 29 at 10:30 a.m.

GO BRUINS.
