Beavers tried to slow down Ben Ball with their zone. But it didn't work against methodical Ben Ball warriors. Bruins start their first Pac-10 road trip with a comfortable 71-56 win against Oregon State. Here is the box score. Shipp lead scoring with 18 points.

Rest of the starters had solid games too. How about Mata making 2 free throws early in the second half? Bruins as a team shot 75 percent from the FT line going 18-24. They have been getting better at the charity line in last few games. Bruins led most of the second half in double digits.
On to their toughest season test to date on this Saturday. Bruins get to face an Oregon team which was obviously looking ahead to matching up against the number 1 team in country, stumbling against inferior competition tonight.
