Grind It Out (Postgame Thread)

Well that wasn't pretty. Honestly, I'm a little conflicted. 30 minutes into the game, I was as down on the team as I've been all season. Somehow, both the offense and defense picked up though, and we were able to pull out a win. I love the resilience, because it shows we can absorb the other team's best punch and still pull it out, on the other hand I hate that we have to kick into this gear with such consistency. This actually reminded me of the southern cal game in a lot of ways, most of them not good, except the result.

After the ASU-WSU result, I knew that ASU had the tools to give us a game, so that's not something that surprises me. I was disappointed by the lack of execution, especially on defense, and I believe the list of things we need to work on (or the people that need to step up) is getting more clearly defined. But as usual, with the bad, there's some good, in picking up another road win (where we're a rather mediocre 4-3). I'm of the opinion that any road win in conference is great, so it's hard for me to say this was any worse than our last game against ASU.

This picture pretty much says it all. DC was the hero, but as you can see, he's battling, as he had to do all game today.

There is plenty to discuss out there, and right now I'm just happy to get the win. This is your postgame thread.

GO BRUINS!
