OSU's Best WR (Key Weapon) Out For UCLA Game

From a local Oregon paper:

Oregon State's Sammie Stroughter will miss Saturday's UCLA game at Reser Stadium with a bruised kidney, and the possibility exists that the star receiver could be lost for the rest of the season.

The 6-foot, 185-pound senior, who suffered the injury at some point in last Saturday's loss at Arizona State, would be eligible to apply for a medical redshirt year in 2008 since he has played only the maximum three games.

"We're going to take it week by week for now," OSU coach Mike Riley says. "It's disappointing, because Sammie was just getting back into the swing of things. The most important thing, though, is taking care of his health."

Now there will be no excuse for our defensive backfield.
