What a difference a football coach makes.
In a little more than a week UCLA football has received more (positive) national exposure, buzz, and excitement it received for last five years.
And now we can see another difference. One head coach fired his assistant coach (allegedly) via text message. The new guy?
According to Dohn, CRN is going out of his way to help former Dorrell assistants land into other jobs:
The reason UCLA is waiting until Friday to announce who is returning among the coaching staff ranks is because the coaches convention is in Anaheim this week. This allows the assistants who are not going to be retained a chance to search for employment from other schools without the stigma of looking for a job as a "fired" assistant. So much for the term "Slick" Rick. The word that comes to mind is all "class."Go Bruins!
