They just keep winning and winning and winning. One team (baseball) is 11-0 to start the season, the other (women's basketball) has won nine straight and 13 of their last 14. Two completely different spots, but the men and women in blue and gold are getting it done. Today, both will be in action as the baseball team takes on Mississippi St. at 3 pm PST in Corpus Christi, Texas and the women's basketball team faces those girls from across town in enemy territory at 5 pm PST.

The baseball team will be in action first and Trevor Bauer (2-0, 2.45 ERA) will get the start as he looked to extend the Bruins' record start to 12-0. Mississippi St. has yet to announce a starter, but odds are it will be a freshman left-hander, Chris Stratton (2-1, 2.25 ERA). The Bulldogs got knocked around, 16-5, by Oklahoma yesterday and have yet to defeat a quality opponent this year, but they have a line-up that can mash so UCLA must come to play.

The women's basketball team will look to win their first game at Galen Center when they play SC in the semifinals of the Pac-10 Tournament. Coach Caldwell and Co. dropped their contest at Galen Center earlier this season, but came back to beat the snot out of SC at Pauley and are on a big time roll right now. The one thing the Bruins definitely have in their favor is fresher legs. Last night in their win over Oregon St., no Bruin played more than 26 minutes and 10 different Bruins played at least 13. Now, they'll hope to use those fresh legs to take the season series from SC and secure a spot in the Pac-10 Tournament Championship in a game that will be televised live on FSN.

Two good teams, two big games. The women's game is right here in town so you can still head down to Galen Center, turn it blue and root our Bruins on to victory. If not, the game will be on FSN for the entire country to see. The baseball team can be followed on GameTracker and can be listened to by clicking the audio link next to today's game on the MSU schedule. It's a big day for Bruins and this is your games thread for those Bruin teams on fire so have at it.
