Tonight at 6 pm PST, the Bruins will look to finish off their conference play preparations in style with a win over struggling Pepperdine. UCLA is 20-0 after sweeping Cal Poly last weekend and with a key seven game stretch set to get underway on Thursday, carrying some momentum into the weekend is key. The newest rankings have the Bruins checking in anywhere from second to sixth in the nation, while Pepperdine is 8-14 on the year.

In my talk with Coach Savage, he discussed the mindset of this year's team and it is never more important than in games like tonight's. Against a struggling opponent in the midweek with a key series coming up, it is all too easy for the Bruins to look past tonight's game and suffer a setback. Having a senior on the mound in Garett Claypool (2-0, 1.59 ERA) will help the Bruins deal with that roadblock, while Pepperdine will start left-hander Aaron Gates (1-4, 3.28 ERA).

First pitch is scheduled for 6 pm PST at Jackie Robinson Stadium and there are three ways for all of you not at the ballpark to follow along. GameTracker will allow you to follow along, as will my UCLA baseball twitter, but consider listening in to the live audio feed with John Ramey, Nick Theodorou and Danny Rees because I've heard some good things on their call. There are plenty of options to follow along with our undefeated Bruins so follow along and check in on this thread with your game updates, thoughts, questions, opinions or whatever else you've got. It's game time, it's your game thread.
