Center Court: UCLA Basketball (@ Arizona) Open Thread

Just two more games to go till the 2009-10 regular season comes to a merciful end. Bruins (13-15, 8-8) wind down the dreadful year with two games against Arizona schools starting with the Arizona Wildcats (14-14, 8-8) tonight. Two quick notes if you haven't seen it via our Twitter feed or comment threads yet: 1) Reeves Nelson will not be available tonight (in fact he is not going to be available for the entire road trip). That's tough news but we can't screw around with Nelson's eye considering he just had surgery. 2) News came out this afternoon that Bobo was suspended for missing a meeting. Really, there is nothing else to say at this point.

This is the 80th meeting between UCLA and Arizona with the Bruins leading the series 46-33 (.582). UCLA is 14-19 (.424) all-time in games at Arizona and has won three of the last four in Tucson, Ariz. The Bruins lost last year's matchup 84-72 in the McKale Center. Ben Howland is 8-7 all-time against Arizona. Howland also has a 6-1 record on Thursdays (he has always done well on Thursdays). However, not sure how much that record is going to mean tonight as I stated earlier today since the mid 80s Bruins have never won in Arizona during a year they didn't win the Pac-10 title.

The game will be televised live on FSN and is scheduled for a 7:36 p.m. (PT) tip-off. You can read up on all of our musings leading up to this game here. If you want to follow the game online you can do so via our official site. As always, we will be here in the game threads with our rapid fire takes and commentary. So let's get this party started. Fire away.

GO BRUINS.
