Our baseball team got off to a terrible start this past week as they got drubbed by Long Beach State by a score of 4-16 on Tuesday night. Thankfully the team responded with a huge series win against Arizona Wildcats on the road by taking 2 out of 3 games.

The pollsters took note of the series win as the Bruins slightly moved up in two national polls. Bruins are now ranked at number 5 in ESPN/USA Today poll (up from no. 6 spot). We are up to number 4 in Rivals.com's top 25 (up 1 spot from last week). These rankings are nice but it won't matter much if we don't take care of business this week.

The boys get back in action tomorrow night against UCI (first pitch at 6 pm PST) to get ready for perhaps the biggest homestand of the season against Arizona State. If you are out in Southern California come out to JRS tomorrow to root on the home team and get them back on the winning frame of mind before taking on the Sun Devils.

GO BRUINS.
