Can the Bruins keep things going? They've lost just one game this season, an 8-4 decision to Stanford on Friday. UCLA was able to bounce back and take the series though, setting themselves up well for a huge road series at Oregon St. this weekend. Before they can get to that, they have to take on the team that has had their number for quite a few years now, Cal St. Fullerton.
The Titans entered the year in the top five, but struggled mightily to start the year and have had to win eight of their last ten to get to 15-11 on the year. Fullerton is playing well now and just like UCLA has a big series coming up this weekend, Fullerton does too with three games against UC Irvine. The Titans will go with left-hander Kevin Rath on the mound (1-1, 2.76 ERA), who usually works as a reliever so he isn't expected to go deep into the game, but has made two starts this season. UCLA will counter with Garett Claypool, a right-hander who is 3-0 with a 1.21 ERA is what has been a fantastic start to the season for the senior.
Again, we've got three ways to follow the game. The most informative and detailed is the online audio call with John Ramey, Danny Rees and Nick Theodorou. You can also follow along on GameTracker and on my UCLA baseball twitter, like always. There are plenty of options to follow along with our undefeated Bruins so follow along and check in on this thread with your game updates, thoughts, questions, opinions or whatever else you've got. It's game time, it's your game thread.
