Blair Angulo from tWWL appears to have a significant scoop:
Malcolm Lee put an end to the rumors on Thursday night.
Lee, a rising junior, says he's retuning to UCLA next season.
"I wouldn't be here if I wasn't coming back," he said after playing a few pickup games at Collins Court inside the John R. Wooden Center on Thursday night.Lee is a projected late first-round to early second-round pick according to ESPN's Chad Ford, who uses the phrase "one foot in the door" to describe Lee's scenario.
Gold expanded on Angulo's scoop by posting "Lee told Angulo he was at 186 pounds and hoped to be up to the low-200s by next season." That's also a positive development (although not seeing that detail in Angulo's post).
It will be interesting to see though whether Lee still "tests" the NBA waters. If he stays away from testing the waters, I think that will be a really healthy development for this program. Either way the vibe we have gotten from Lee this off-season to date has been encouraging.
GO BRUINS.
