The Bruins are winners of four straight since their sweep at the hands of Arizona St. and will look to keep things going tonight when they take on UC Irvine in the OC. This game is especially important because of the momentum UCLA can keep going into this weekend's series versus SC. The Trojans may be far and away the worst team in the Pac-10, but any time it's UCLA and USC, it's huge for the Bruins to dominate so hopefully they can win tonight and take a five-game win streak into this weekend.
Garett Claypool is on the mound for the Bruins tonight as he looked to continue a sensational senior season. The right-hander is 7-1 with a 2.02 ERA for the Bruins on Tuesday nights, giving them a huge lift every time he take the mound. When Claypool pitched against the Anteaters two weeks ago, he allowed just one run in 7.2 great innings to pick up the win. UC Irvine's starter tonight, Andy Lines, walked three in an inning of relief versus UCLA two weeks ago, but did not allow a run. Lines is 1-0 with a 5.79 ERA this season as a freshman.

For those who want the most detailed way to follow, John Ramey, who has developed quite a following in his first year as the voice of UCLA baseball, is on the call. This is the game thread so do with it what you will. Updates, analysis, questions, comments and whatever else, it's yours.
