So Brett Krill and his team-mates enjoyed another great offensive performance at the expense of Chad Kreuter's last place Southern Cal Trojans. Before anyone even thinks about having any sort of sympathy for the hapless Trogans, just think for a minute and remember the bomb and so many other pile on scores were cheered on by "We Are SC" chants over the years. Plus the Trojan faithful who has been showing up at JRS this weekend have been acting like ... well ... Trogans.

Rob Rasmussen (7-2, 3.36 ERA) will start for the Bruins this afternoon against right-hander Kevin Couture. Rasmussen also started the Dodgertown  classic earlier this year when the Bruins won a score by 6-1. He will have to be on his game because I am sure he will be better scouted by the Trojan staff (as hapless as they may be) who will look to go out on an upbeat note before getting canned at the end of this season.

Let's hope Krill and his team-mates can stay on their offensive tear and show no sense of mercy this afternoon at JRS. The first pitch is scheduled for 1 pm PST. You can also follow along with GameTracker or get updates on Ryan's UCLA baseball twitter. So might as well thread this as our game thread with updates, thoughts, analysis and anything else.

GO BRUINS.
