Well how are the Bruins (39-11, 14-8) going to follow up on yet another heart stopping win in the Pac-10? Ryan as usual made an excellent point in the game thread (which many of us were following). In past years Bruins didn't manage to win games like yesterday, when they repeatedly experienced adversity on the road. Yet thanks to leadership and clutch shots from every member of the team including kids like Chris Giovinazzo who made their presence felt off the bench, Bruins pulled out another huge and dramatic win.

UCLA's 39th win is now tied for the fourth-highest regular-season win total in school history (the Bruins won 41 regular-season games in 1979 and 40 games in 1969 and 1997). Not bad at all. We can't worry about those numbers though as the boys get right back at it against a Cal team (27-20, 11-11) , which is more than a formidable opponent as one of the better teams in the best baseball conference in America. Trevor Bauer (8-3, 2.98 ERA) as usual will be our Saturday starter this afternoon as he is supposed to go up against Justin Jones (9-4, 3.76 ERA heading into yesterday's game). We will see who comes out for Cal because Jones pitched yesterday afternoon.

The first pitch is scheduled for tonight at 1:00 pm PST. You can also follow along with GameTracker or get updates on Ryan's UCLA baseball twitter. With those links let get this started as our game thread with updates, thoughts, analysis and anything else.

GO BRUINS.
