Well here we go. Not much to say at this point. UCLA baseball (50-15) has put together nothing short of a magical season to date setting all sorts of team record in Coach John Savage's 6th season in the program. Bruins will look to keep the unforgettable ride going at least for another series when they take on TCU (54-13) this morning in Omaha.
The momentum is on the side of the Horned Frogs. Thanks to an outstanding pitching effort from Matt Purke took care of the Bruins on a hot Friday afternoon in the prairies. This is not the first time this season the Bruins have had to come back after a tough loss. They did it against Stanford. They did it against Oregon State. Of course they pulled it off against Cal State Fullerton. Today they will look to Trevor Bauer and his lucky hat to take another magical step.
The first pitch is scheduled for 11:00 am PST. You can also follow along with GameTracker or get updates on Ryan's UCLA baseball twitter. So might as well thread this as our game thread with updates, thoughts, analysis and anything else.
GO BRUINS.
