Well if this was any other weekend, this would shape up to be one of the biggest game in the history of UCLA baseball. Bruins (44-13) started off their second season on a great note, cruising past Kent State by a score of 15-1. It sounded like one of those total team wins in which everyone in the lineup contributed to a solid start. Bruins will need to now build on that by taking on one of the most legendary baseball programs in the country and the defending national champions LSU Tigers.
The Tigers are coming off a heart stopping win over UCI. They might be a little spent but they will have lot of built up mojo on their side. Speaking of the Tigers, it has been wonderful interacting with the good guys over And The Valley Shook. We hope the LSU fans have a good time in LA. Hope our fans are being good hosts. With that said hope Trevor Bauer and the Bruins are locked in and focused on the Tigers. LSU will start right-hander Anthony Ranaudo.
The Bruins will play as the designated visiting team against LSU (41-20). The game will be televised live on CST (Cox Sports Television) and will feature a live video stream on ESPN3.com. The first pitch is scheduled for this evening at 6:00 pm PST. You can also follow along with GameTracker or get updates on Ryan's UCLA baseball twitter. So might as well thread this as our game thread with updates, thoughts, analysis and anything else.
GO BRUINS.
