It's a huge day in UCLA athletics with a ton of teams in action, some in postseason play. The biggest of the games is the No. 3 seeded UCLA women's water polo team (25-6) taking on the No. 2 California Golden Bears (25-4) at 3 pm PDT in the 2011 NCAA National Semifinals. As LA Bruin noted Cal defeated the Bruins during the season, but lost to the Bruins in the MPSF tournament. Now is the time for the Bruins to beat the Golden Bears again to advance to the Championship game on Sunday.
On top of that, the baseball team is hosting Cal St. Bakersfield today at 2 pm PDT at Jackie Robinson Stadium. Trevor Bauer will look to continue his incredible season as he enters the game with five consecutive complete games. He'll be taking on Martin Medina, who is making his first start of the season.
The softball team also has a game on the schedule as they take on Oregon at 11:30 pam PDT. They Bruins were bested by the Ducks yesterday and are looking to come back to grab a series win in their final regular season series of the season.
Elsewhere, both the men's and women's tennis teams have NCAA Tournament matches at the LA Tennis Center. The women's rowing team is in the Pac-10 Championships and so are both the men's and women's track and field teams.
As you can see, it's a full day in Bruin country. You can watch the women's water polo game LIVE via NCAA's streaming service here. The baseball game has live audio and I have updates at my UCLA baseball twitter. The softball team also has live audio and both tennis teams have live stats. Good luck to our Bruins. This is your open thread.
