According to Football Scoop, Mora has hired Dennis Slutak from UW as "his senior associate AD for football."
From the Press Release when Slutak was hired at UW:
Slutak comes to the UW after four seasons in essentially the same position at USC. A native of West Palm Beach, Fla., he was a walk-on punter at Florida State, earning his bachelor's degree from FSU and his master's from North Carolina State
Prior to taking over as operations director at USC, Slutak was a graduate assistant coach for the Trojans. He's also previously worked in coaching at Lehigh and North Carolina State and at the high school level and has run kicking camps.
A 2006 NY Times article describes some of Slutak's duties and attention to detail as Cheatey's right-hand man:
Unhappy with the efficiency of the Trojans' game-day breakfast buffet, Carroll pushed Slutak to find a better way. First, the Trojans increased the number of omelet stations to help breakfast move more quickly.
But Carroll was still not satisfied, so they switched to having the players order their omelets. Slutak, whose primary responsibility with the program is arranging logistics and travel, said that the new omelet organization system saved the Trojans 20 to 30 minutes on game days this season.
"Doing things better and improving things drives him in everything he does," said Slutak, a former punter at Florida State who served as a graduate assistant for the Trojans the previous two seasons.
Interesting to see what his role will be at UCLA.
