It is halftime at the Rose Bowl, and the Bruins are up 14-7 over the Utes, but with some things for the players and coaches to work on in the second half.
Utah has given their true freshman QB, Travis Wilson his first start this afternoon, and while he has shown some positive signs, he is thankfully showing some freshman mistakes, including an INT courtesy of Andrew Abbott. the UCLA D has held Wilson and the Utah D to 147 yards and 0 points - with the Ute TD coming off of an inexplicably botched punt return (if that is even the right word) by Steven Manfro in the end zone.
Brett Hundley took a (clean) shot in the first series that looked to have affected his knee, but he remained in the game, and connected with Shaq Evans for a 64-yard TD pass in the 1st quarter. That, and a 12-yard Hundley run account for the Bruin points.
