Ron Chenoy-US PRESSWIRE

It's half time in Pullman and the Bruins are up by a score 37-7 against a Washington State team that is playing inspired ball under the Pirate. The game got off to a great start when Datone Jones blocked a FG and Sheldon Price (!) took it to the house to put the Bruins up 7-0. And then for a while it started feeling like the Cal game as the Cougars really took it to the Bruins evening up the score at 7 and looking more fired up than the Bruins on both sides of the field. It certainly caused all of us to be anxious early on because we have seen the nightmare play out so many times over the years.

But - like the game against Arizona State - the Bruins settled down and put together a nice drive and took the lead with a beautiful screen toss from Brett Hundley to Jet Ski. The Bruin rushing attack has been mostly stymied by the Cougars. It's our redshirt freshman QB, who is once again providing steady leadership under center. Although our first series was out of sync, Hundley completed 10 of his first 10 attempts for 160 yards and 3 TDs. Not too shabby. Speaking of not too shabby our specials teams was outstanding to start the game with couple of blocked kicks and getting a turnover off one of Jeff Locke's booming kicks. The defense also settled down after the first three drives. Here is the box score.

A lot is riding in this second half for Mora and the Bruins. Hopefully we close out strong in the remaining 30 minutes. If we can take care of business the team will be well set up for you know who next Saturday. Let's get this done.

GO BRUINS.
