If you want to discuss the Tyler Lamb transfer go here. On to the game thread.
UCLA's more aggressive offense averages 79 points a game. An average that may be put to the test against the slow deliberate Cal Poly Mustangs. Cal Poly knows if UCLA scores 79 UCLA wins. Cal Poly will try to slow this game and frustrate the young Bruins. It should not matter as Cal Poly does not have a player that could make the UCLA team but UCLA needs to keep in mind these guys beat USC 42-36 last year. (Yes that is a basketball score.)
The game is at 7 pm Pacific on Pac 12 Networks. The Cal Poly preview is here. The Bruins Nation preview is in the middle of this article. UCLA may have as few as 7 scholarship players tonight as UCLA has three two players (now that Tyler Lamb has transferred) that are game time decisions as the official UCLA preview notes:
Junior David Wear is day-to-day with a sore back, sustained from a hard fall with 12:13 to play in the second half aaginst Georgetown on Nov. 19 in Brooklyn, N.Y. Freshman Tony Parker remains day-to-day with back spasms. He did not practice on Thursday, Nov. 22, but returned to practice on Friday,
In a cool gesture, Cal Poly Coach Joe Callero had this picture of his kids with the Wooden statue and said this in a picture of the Wooden's seat "His seat may be vacant but his memory will live forever John Wooden." Thanks Coach Callero.
Hopefully, these Bruins remember as well.
Go Bruins.
