Yesterday, UCLA got the job done. To be specific, Adam Plutko got the job done. It was a terrific performance and to go to Athens and come away with a Friday night win against Georgia is nothing to sneeze at, but it was just one game. No team makes a statement by winning one game on the weekend. You have to go out and win two to take the series and that's what UCLA has to do now. They need to find a second win this weekend and the first opportunity is today in game two.

Nick Vander Tuig will be on the bump for the Bruins today and he'll hope his day goes like it did last week when he allowed just one unearned run in eight innings. He's had back-to-back good starts now so he's in a bit of a groove and he'll need to keep it going today. Michael Palazzone will get the nod for the Bulldogs, although he hasn't made a habit of going deep in games so the Bruins will likely see the Georgia bullpen early.

Again, UCLA couldn't get John Ramey and/or Tim Wilhelm out to Athens is there is no UCLA audio of the game. If you want to follow along with more than GameTracker, you have to hope you get Comcast/Charter Sports South so you can watch it on TV. I'll also have updates, notes and all the other stuff on my UCLA baseball Twitter. The Bruins need to make it two wins this weekend and this is your open thread for it so let's get this going.
