The rain has gone away and we finally get some baseball today with UCLA trying to sweep Washington St. In the Cougars' case, they get a lot of baseball because as soon as they are done with playing UCLA today, they are going to head down the 405 and take on Long Beach St. It will be a looooong day for them, but even with the doubleheader, it is expected that they won't keep anything in the tank for game two and will focus on the Bruins because that is a Pac-12 contest. In Bruin news, UCLA is up to number six in today's new Baseball America poll, a one spot jump from last week.

Kevin Swannack is starting for Washington St. and to be blunt, he's been awful this year. He's been walking guys and getting hit hard all year. This is a guy that the Bruins can, and should, jump on. We'll find out who is starting for UCLA before long as Zack Weiss continue to battle back from shoulder soreness so this could be Grant Watson's start. With no midweek game again this week, not much will be affected by Watson starting today.

This being a Monday day game, you probably aren't at the stadium so listed in to John Ramey and Tim Wilhelm, who have the call online. You can also get all the game updates, notes, observations and all the other goodies from my UCLA baseball twitter. This is your Wazzu series finale thread so share updates as well as your thoughts and reactions here.
