Here we go. It's time to find out how good this UCLA team is. Yes, they have won seven in a row, but those came at Jackie Robinson Stadium or right up the 405. Now they're on the road, which is where really good teams prove themselves and the Bruins will sure have to prove themselves this weekend because they're playing a top 10 team in Georgia.

Adam Plutko will be the first one tested as he gets the start for the Bruins. The key for him will be finding the strike zone after walking four in each of his last two starts. He can't get away with that in Georgia because they are countering with Alex Wood, who is one of the top pitchers in the country. He threw a two-hit shutout and struck out 14 in eight innings last week so the Bruin lineup will be challenged.

UCLA couldn't get John Ramey and/or Tim Wilhelm out to Athens is there is no UCLA audio of the game. If you want to follow along with more than GameTracker, you'll have to pony up the $10 to get video and audio of today's game, as well as audio to the last two games of the series. I'll also have updates, notes and all the other stuff on my UCLA baseball Twitter. This is your series opener open thread so let's get this going.
