An error did UCLA in last night, allowing an unearned winning run, but not even the biggest of Bruin fans would argue that they were the better team last night. It's not that they were bad, because they weren't, but Arizona was a little better all game and as a result, the Wildcats got a 4-3 win. That puts the onus on UCLA to bounce back today and even the series in the desert.
Nick Vander Tuig gets the nod for UCLA as he tries to turn things around after a run of bad starts. Last week was exceptionally bad and against the best offense in the country, Vander Tuig can't afford to have a bad game today. Konner Wade will be on the mound for Arizona and while he is good, he's not in the same class as Kurt Heyer so the Bruins can get to him. Maybe as effective, they can knock him out of the game early and get to the Wildcats' shaky bullpen.
John Ramey is on the road for the weekend so he has the call online and Arizona has their regular streaming video available for those of you who are CBS subsribers. Of course, make sure to check my UCLA baseball twitter for game updates, notes, observations and everything else on the program. This is your open thread for the game so have at it.
