Another road series for the Bruins and one of their last really tough series in the Pac-12. The upper echelon is UCLA, Arizona, Stanford, Oregon, Oregon St. and Arizona St. The Bruins have already played three of those, so after this weekend, just Stanford is left and that comes next weekend. That means the Bruins need to put in consecutive good weekends and set itself up for a stretch run in which things ease up a bit and they can try to make it back-to-back Pac-12 titles.

Weekend one of the consecutive good weekends starts tonight in Corvallis, where UCLA takes on Oregon St. Adam Plutko will start for the Bruins, putting his 4-2 record and 3.40 ERA on the line. He'll have to be even better than that tonight, though, because the Beavers are turning to Ben Wetzler, who is 4-1 with a 2.98 ERA.

Lucky for us, John Ramey is back on the road for the weekend so he has the call online. Of course, make sure to check my UCLA baseball twitter for game updates, notes, observations and everything else on the program. This is your open thread for the series opener so have at it.
