Playing at a big league ballpark is always a thrill and tonight, UCLA and Washington will get that as they take the field at Safeco Field. Playing on the road is usually not a thrill, but it has been for UCLA this year. The Bruins are 13-3 away from Jackie Robinson Stadium so the road obviously hasn't been a problem and they'll have the chance to improve on that record this weekend up in Seattle.
Adam Plutko will be on the mound for the Bruins and trying to replicate last weekend's sterling start. He carried a perfect game into the seventh inning and allowed just two hits as he pitched into the ninth inning. Aaron West, fresh off of a complete game shutout, will get the nod for the Huskies.
John Ramey will be back on the road for the weekend so he will have the call online from Seattle, but Washington is fantastic and also has streaming video of all the games. GameTracker will be going all weekend and, of course, make sure to check my UCLA baseball twitter for game updates, notes, observations and everything else on the program. This is your series opener open thread so keep it going with updates and anything else you have.
