UCLA has owned midweek games this year. They are undefeated on Tuesdays and they have the chance to make it an entire season of wins on Tuesdays tonight when they head to Irvine. The Anteaters are out of Regional contention so they don't have a lot to play for, but the Bruins need a series win this weekend to just about seal up a national seed and another win tonight will only strengthen that argument.
Grant Watson will get the nod for the Bruins and will have to be good because Evan Brock is starting for the Anteaters. Watson has been up and down this season, with last week being down, but Brock has been fantastic so Watson has a challenge on his hands.
In injury news, Tyler Heineman and Pat Valaika are good to go after missing last weekend with injuries. Kevin Williams is not as lucky as he battles a knee injury that will keep him out indefinitely.
Because this one is right down the road, John Ramey and Tim Wilhelm will have the call online and GameTracker will be going. Of course, make sure to check my UCLA baseball twitter for game updates, notes, observations and everything else on the program. This is your open thread as the Bruins so fire away.
