Finally, we got some much needed good news from the recruiting trail this afternoon. Cameron Judge, a 4 star LB (according to Scout.com) committed to UCLA (HT firstto100). Eric Sondheimer of the LA Times referenced the commitment by mentioning that the 6-2, 215 LB Bruin commit is "highly regarded for his toughness and athleticism."
Eric McKinney from ESPN listed Judge as "three star" but detailed all the offers from other schools:
The 6-foot-2, 210-pound outside linebacker narrowed his choices to a final five recently and chose the Bruins over Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State and Utah. He is one of the most highly-recruited linebackers in the state, as he had hauled in 15 offers with interest from nearly the entire Pac-12. Judge was a defensive standout at the Dana Hills Nike Airstrike passing tournament over the weekend and should team up nicely with fellow UCLA commit Deon Hollins Jr. (Missouri City, Tex./Thurgood Marshall).
Now this sounds like a legit commitment. This is the kind of commitment that should be the norm for a school like UCLA.
Here are Judge's highlights from his junior year:

Greg Biggins had the following to stay in his Scout.com evaluation:
A very good prospect with a nice skill set. Has ideal size for a weak side backer and a frame that will carry more weight. He's a huge hitter who runs well and plays with an edge. He has a nice motor and has improved his overall athleticism and cover skills. He plays with a high football IQ and does a nice job directing a defense. Judge is definitely among the top overall 'backers in the West region with a very nice upside. - Biggins
Let's give Judge a warm welcome as a Bruin and let's hope Jim Mora and his staff reel in few more like him.
GO BRUINS.
