One more win and UCLA is going to College World Series for only the fourth time ever, but the second time in three years. That's where the Bruins stand after coming from behind to beat TCU, 6-2, last night in game one of the Super Regionals. Heady stuff, huh?

The Bruins will send Nick Vander Tuig to the bump against the Horned Frogs with the hope that he can turn in a performance like the one turned in last weekend. The sophomore carried a no-hitter into the eighth inning in his best ever collegiate start to shut down a good New Mexico offense. Like the Lobos, the Horned Frogs have a couple big-time home run hitters so keeping the ball in the yard will be paramount.

Preston Morrison will start for the Horned Frogs and he's a pretty good match-up for the Bruins. He doesn't overpower guys at all, working in the mid-80's from a low right-handed delivery, which plays into the wheelhouse of UCLA's many left-handers. Still, Morrison is very, very good, compiling a 1.98 ERA is more than 100 innings this season so the Bruins will have to work.

The game gets underway at 6 pm PT and will be televised nationally on ESPN2. It will also be live on ESPN3. As always, follow along for updates, thoughts and everything else about the program on my UCLA baseball twitter. This is your open thread as the Bruins try to punch their ticket to Omaha so tune in and share your thoughts right here in your open thread.
