With Fourth of July fast approaching on Hump Day, Bruins got a much needed jolt on the recruiting trail this afternoon. Kenneth Clark, a 4 star (per scout.com) 6-2, 285, Senior DL from Washington, Rialto (Calif) pulled the trigger and committed to UCLA. Greg Biggins broke the story via twitter:
"I just committed to #UCLA," Rialto (Calif) DL Kenneth Clark

Following up with this:
"It came down to UCLA/Washington for me but on flight home from Seattle, I just felt more comfortable staying closer to home," Clark said

HT Bruins#1 in the fanshot section. Clark had offers from all major Pac-12 programs (except for Southern Cal), Miami, and Nebraska. He is a nice get for DL coach Angus McClure (who I am assuming was the lead recruiter for this young man).
Bruins had been one of Clark's favorites, who recently attended junior camp in Westwood and also had checked out spring practice. As of right now he is commitment number 9 for the incoming class of 2013.
Here is some film of him on the Tube:

And the recruiting capsule from Scout.com:
Clark is an active and disruptive tackle. He will need to try and add some more good bulk but already has a good get-off and is capable of getting some penetration into the backfield. He's still pretty raw but his motor and size make him an enticing prospect. As he continues to develop more technique, with his size, strength and quickness, he should develop into a very nice tackle prospect in college. -Brandon Huffman
The defensive side of this class is shaping up nicely early on. Let's hope Mora and co. can continue to build on this momentum.
GO BRUINS.
