UCLA adds a JC Offensive Lineman: ucla.scout.com/2/1212438.html

Seydel is academically qualified and will begin play immediately. Given the lack of healthy bodies on the offensive line, as well as the recent medical retirement of Chris Ward, the addition does not come as much of a surprise.
Seydel is a big body, standing 6'6 and weighing 285 lbs. He projects as a tackle, which helps the depth and allows Brett Downey to move into his more comfortable guard position. Quite frankly, I don't know very much more about him. Scott Eklund at JCFootball.com previously reported that Seydel had offers from Nevada, New Mexico State, and Florida International, and Seydel was supposedly considered one of the better JC offensive line prospects in the state. He will have 4 years to play 3 at UCLA, so he will be able to redshirt if he cannot get acclimated quickly.
Welcome to Westwood, Jacob.
