Speaking of uniform changes...
SB Nation, our parent network, has been working for several months to better incorporate and unify the SBN family of blogs. One of the first steps in that process includes the redesign of the logos of each of the 350+ SBN sites, including Bruins Nation. With that in mind, Bruins Nation is proud to introduce our new logo...
The new logos are the first step in several changes you will see in the next few months on Bruins Nation and around the SBN family as the network looks to better unify its image, as well as integrate and share all the great information found across its blogs. You can see all of the new logos here.
I'm not necessarily a big one for change (unless we're talking about our Athletic Director) so I was wary when SBN told us our logo was being redesigned. But we were able to work with them and revise their initial submission into what you see today, and I'm happy with how it turned out. The coming changes deal mostly with functionality and interaction between the sites. Rest assured, one change you will never see on Bruins Nation is any wavering in our love for all things U.C.L.A. We are and will remain the most hard core and loyal Bruin fans anywhere. We will always bleed Bruin blue and gold
And now our new logo better represents those colors.
Tyler B, one of the founders of SBN, issued this statement on the logos and the direction of SBN
It's with great pleasure that I unveil the first step in the next evolution of Bruins Nation. In the next month SB Nation will be undergoing a dramatic upgrade to our platform and our editorial process. There will be much more detail to come but for now, the new logo is just a first taste of what is coming for Bruins Nation.
This is a small, but important sample of what is coming when our network undergoes its most exciting and radical transformation in the eight-year history of the company. A new visual identity here and across the network is only one step we are taking to unite our network of sites. United through individuality is the underlying theme of this project. You'll notice that our team colors and the unique spirit of our individual community are maintained while making it clear to sports fans that each site is a part of the larger SB Nation network. We want everyone to know that they can find the same type of great writing, video and conversation that we offer here on all of our 350 plus sites. You can browse through all the new logos on a special page we put together at sbnation.com/united.Our commitment to passionately follow our sports will never end. It's what makes SB Nation a special place and that will only be enhanced by these new changes. In the meantime we're setting up additions to our store so you can be sporting the latest and greatest before it even launches. Welcome to our future.
So good morning, Bruins Nation. We have a new face. Chime in with your thoughts.
