As noted in the fanshots by Markpav44, UCLA and Head Football Coach Jim Mora agreed to a contract extension today. Mora agreed to a one year contract extension, which will take him through 2017. Fans of the extension should thank the San Diego Chargers and whomever fanned the "Mora to the Chargers" fire to get this done.
Mora, in his remarks to the press noted:
I believe UCLA will win championships
Hopefully next year will get us back on that track after how the football season ended.
However, the most interesting part of the press release was this snippet:
In addition, UCLA is working on plans to build an on-campus football training facility, and to provide additional support to the football program, with details to be announced.
What do they mean by training facility? A football only weight room? A full sized practice field? (I'm guessing no.) Inquiring minds need to know! Also great job using the Chargers interest to get some action on this training facility.
Welcome back to Westwood, Coach Mora. We will be watching your career with keen interest.
