UCLA Bruins at Utah Utes 1st Half Gamethread

An open thread for the Bruins Nation community to track tonight's UCLA Football game @ Utah.

Doug Pensinger

Gameday is here. Well, game evening that is. After making it through a second September bye week, the Bruins are back in action tonight, traveling to that state of horrors for recent UCLA teams - Utah. Tonight the Bruins will be in Salt Lake City to take on the Utes. Kickoff is scheduled for just after 7pm pacific (8pm local time); per the Weather Channel, game time weather is expected to be 49 degrees, staying in the mid 40's throughout the same with a slight chance of rain.

As of Thursday morning, Vegas has the Bruins as 6 point favorites. Keep in mind that the betting lines are intended to balance the betting on either side of the game rather than to reflect how a game is expected to go, but together with the over/under, the casinos have UCLA tabbed to win 34-28. That Bruin score would mean that Ka'imi Fairbairn hits a pair of field goals - hopefully he is able to do well in the cold road environment. You can check out our gameday notes and the game notes from the official site. Our three-part preview of the Utes' and other gameweek notes can be found in our UCLA @ Utah page, along with IE Angel's excellent breakdown of Brett Hundley's season-to-date.

Tonight's game will be televised by Fox Sports 1; with Justin Kutcher, Petros Papadakis and Joel Klatt in the booth. As usual, Chris Roberts, Matt Stevens and Wayne Cook will be covering the Bruin radio broadcast. Due to the Dodgers NLDS game, our game will air on 1150am in Southern California rather than AM 570, and can also be found on satellite radio (SIRIUS ch. 110, XM ch. 191). You can also listen to the radio feed via the TuneIn Radio app available for most smartphones and tablets.

This is your open thread for the 1st half.

GO BRUINS!
