Gameday on a Friday. Feels a little weird, right. Getting up this morning and having to head to work or to class while having tonight's game with UW waiting for you at the end of the day - or maybe you decided to play hookie for the rare chance at a weekday afternoon tailgate in the Arroyo Seco.
Per the official site, this is UCLA Football's first Friday Night home game. As different as it may be, I suppose it feels a bit more natural than the more common Thursday night college game, in that most of us don't have to worry about having to be up at our best bright and early tomorrow morning.
Kickoff is scheduled for just after 6pm Pacific time, with Carter Blackburn, Danny Kanell and Allison Williams calling ESPN2's TV broadcast of tonight's game. As usual, AM570 will be carrying the radio broadcast with Chris Roberts, Matt Stevens and Wayne Cook at the mic. That audio feed will also be available via satellite radio (ch.91 on Sirius and XM) and via TuneIn Radio's free smartphone and tablet apps.
Our previews of the Huskies, as well as our other posts leading up to tonight's game can be found in the Washington at UCLA section of BN. Basic game notes from the official site are here, with extended game notes also available as a PDF file. To wrap up the pregame reads; Holly Anderson wrote a brief "Who's That Guy" piece on Myles Jack this morning at Grantland, while the editors at Dawgman.com made their predictions for tonight.
This is your open thread for the first half of tonight's game versus the Huskies.
GO BRUINS!
